The Gen 7 Alpha SV is the hardest shell to rep well and this one is genuinely impressive. Seam taping on the inside is clean, the Velcro cuffs are solid, and the hood brim holds its shape.
Waterproofing is excellent -- wore it in heavy rain for two hours and stayed completely dry. The 3L laminate feel is there. Fit is true to the athletic/trim Arc'teryx cut.
For the price this is remarkable. The shell fabric is stiff in the right places and the zippers are YKK-style, smooth operation. Pit-zip works perfectly.
