The midsole uses a BASF-sourced lightweight foam compound that delivers a genuinely plush, cloud-like sensation underfoot -- Kolon's own description of it stepping on clouds is not idle marketing. Despite the softness, the foam is structured enough to provide adequate trail feedback and midfoot support on technical terrain. The upper wraps the foot in a pliable, form-fitting fabric that conforms to the foot's shape without pressure points, so rocky or gravelly ground does not translate into hot spots or bruising. Kolon Sport fits slightly narrow. We recommend going up half a size if you have a wider foot or plan to wear thicker hiking socks.

The outsole lugs are deep and provide solid traction on loose and wet terrain. The upper is water-resistant but not fully waterproof.
How durable is the build quality on these?
The rep construction uses reinforced toe and heel overlays similar to the retail version. With normal trail use, they hold up very well over time.
